Our “Lamplighter” story began on a rainy, double rainbow afternoon in the summer of 2016, when we set foot on the campground for the first time. This was a chance encounter, which marked the starting point of an unexpected and complete change in direction in our lives.

 

Revelstoke has been our home since 2013. What brought us here was our love and passion for the mountains; what kept us here is the community, new found friends and the unique charm and beauty of the area.

 

One of the first and lasting impressions we have and love about the campground are its colors –

the beautiful trees and the back drop of the mountains combining to create the park’s simple charm. These are aspects we want to nurture. 

 

Whilst our acquisition of the Lamplighter was not planned, you could say campgrounds are in the blood, with 3 generations of campground experience to draw upon. We have also both spent a number of years working in the hospitality and customer service industries.

 

We believe in good service, providing clean and well-maintained facilities and a campground with well-kept surroundings. We operate with integrity, we work hard and try our best to ensure the best possible experience for our visitors. 

 

So what do we do when we’re not at the campground? We’re likely to be enjoying one our passions, climbing, mountain biking, travelling in our little campervan with our dog, skiing, and volunteering with the Revelstoke Adaptive Sports Program.
